Ash Knutson

Board Member at Large
ash@brokethespians.org

Ash's passion for performance began at Geilenkirchen Elementary (DoDEA school for military families) in 1998. She nurtured this love through improv at UTSA's Bargain Basement Players (2007-2009) and furthered her studies at Texas State (2010-2014).

While building a career at OneSupport, Ash delved into independent film. Her journey began with the community-funded short "Z-End" (2013). Over the next decade, she honed her skills on projects like "Ice Cream Samurai" music video (2014), "Derelicts" feature (2017), "Death and Compromise" TV series (2019), and "Vessel" short (post-production). Most recently, she was in the SFX department for "The Weedhacker Massacre", which is now in post-production.

Though film took center stage, Ash's theatrical roots remained strong. In 2022, she returned to the stage with Broke Thespians' "Murder's in the Heir," rekindling her love for live performance. Inspired by their mission and collaborative spirit, Ash is thrilled to be part of the Broke Thespians' Theatre Company.
